Every month we’ll send you tips, recipes, and articles to support Your Ideal Protein Success!

What’s New?
On May 22, 2012, the Ideal Protein Program was re-launched at Total Rehab Orthopedic & Athletic Medicine with our first monthly Open House. Those who started the program then, lost an average of 6.6lbs their first week!

Our next Open House is Tuesday June 19, 2012 7:30-8:30pm
Bring a friend and join us to learn about the program and enjoy samples of Ideal Protein Foods!

Weekly Support Group
Tuesdays at 7pm, beginning June 26/12
New topic weekly, guest speakers, tips and hints, all your questions answered.
All groups will be hosted by our new Ideal Protein Coach, Deborah Gurash, RMT.

Phase 4 Support
Please remember that once you’ve graduated from the Ideal Protein Program, we’re not done with you. You are welcome and encouraged to come back for individual consults, weekly support groups, or monthly Open Houses, whenever you like.

In fact, it is recommended that we all repeat Phase 1, for 2 weeks annually, to reset the pancreas and drop the few extra pounds we may have gained

Strawberry Wafer Cookies, Lemon Tea Drink, Chicken a la King,
Lemon Soy Puffs, Chocolate Chip Cookies

Drink Up!
Having trouble getting all that water in? Try one of these refreshing twists. Muddle a handful of fresh mint leaves in a jug, to begin releasing the flavour. Add lemon or lime slices.

If you’re feeling adventurous, add a few slices of cucumber too. Try lemon with basil, rosemary, thyme, sliced ginger root, or lavender. Lemon is a natural liver cleanser. During Phase 3 & 4, you can also add fruits.

The combinations are endless! Enjoy!

Recipe of the Month
(Phase 1 Friendly)
Grilled Vegetable Salad
from Deborah’s kitchen
Combine: ¼ cup Walden Farms Balsamic Dressing (available at Metro)
1 clove minced garlic
½ tsp each oregano, cumin, chilli powder, and dried mustard
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
Cayenne or Hot Pepper Flakes to taste
Slice: 1 Eggplant, 2 Zucchini, 1 Red Onion, 1 each green, red, yellow peppers
Toss vegetables with dressing
Grill over medium high heat, turning occasionally until tender and slightly charred
Brush with remaining dressing as necessary
Arrange vegetables on large platter and drizzle with remaining dressing
Serve warm or at room temperature
During Phase 3 & 4, sprinkle with crumbled Feta

Ideal Protein Recipe of the Month
Reese’s Pieces
Make one serving of chocolate pudding and one serving of butterscotch pudding.
In two dessert bowls, divide the puddings, layering the flavours
Take ½ to 1bar of your choice: i.e. chocolate peanut bar, peanut crunch bar, milk chocolate, or double chocolate bar
Crumble and sprinkle on top of pudding layers
Chill or freeze for a decadent treat!
