Alfred Magar Hons. B.A. (Psych), B.H.Sc. (Physiotherapy) Registered Physiotherapist
Alfred Magar is a highly experienced and versatile Registered Physiotherapist with over 26 years of hands-on clinical experience, treating a wide range of physiotherapy-related conditions. His approach is rooted in practical, evidence-based solutions, and he draws from an extensive physiotherapy “toolbox” developed through decades of work across varied clinical settings.
Alfred earned his first degree in 1994—a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology—on an NCAA Division I Tennis Scholarship at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He later completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 1999, launching a long-standing career dedicated to patient care and rehabilitation.
Prior to joining the clinic, Alfred worked at Lakeridge Health Corporation, where he gained valuable experience treating patients in complex hospital environments. His physiotherapy experience spans multiple settings including intensive care, cardiac care, post-operative rehabilitation, neurology, and sports/orthopedic rehab—equipping him with the depth and adaptability to treat everything from everyday injuries to highly specialized medical conditions.
Outside of his clinical work, Alfred actively contributes to the community by volunteering his First Aid training at dragon boat events, soccer tournaments, and community festivals.
He is also an avid hobbyist in 3D printing design and fabrication, and has been coaching house league and select-level hockey clubs since 2005, sharing his leadership and team-building skills with young athletes.
